WATCH: A MALE EYE. JOHN BERGER - Marina Pérez-Trigueros

Marina Pérez-Trigueros is an ‘audiovisual documentalist’. Her website specialises in archive, audiovisual production and film editing. It approaches audiovisual projects with a transdisciplinary, creative style and with a particular focus on audiovisual heritage and audiovisual montage.

Next to her short video essay, A MALE EYE. JOHN BERGER, she states:

The male gaze: Most pictures are meant to be seen by a male. This determines not only most relations between men and women but also the relation of women to themselves. John Berger wrote his book ‘Ways of Seeing’ (1972) on this premise, which has been used as the script for this video essay aimed to be a tribute to his work.
